Thoroughly analyse the wiring graphics and note the common mistakes in order to avoid system malfunctions.

MOTION SENSORS

In DEIMIC, motion sensors are connected directly to the switchboard with a UTP 5e cable.
For clarity, each motion sensor should be connected to the switchboard with a separate cable.

If that’s not possible, one UTP 5e wire can link up to 6 motion sensors.

COMPUTER NETWORK AND INTERNET CONNECTION

In order to control DEIMIC via a smartphone or tablet, the system needs to be connected to the home computer network and to the Internet.

The router should be connected with the electronic switchboard with a UTP5e wire.

FAN COILS

A fan coil should be connected to the switchboard with a 5 x 1.5 mm2 wire and a 3 x 1.5 mm2 wire, which is necessary to control three fan coil gears and solenoid valves, respectively.

Additionally, if the fan coil system has circulation pumps to be controlled by DEIMIC, one of those pumps should be connected to the electrical switchboard with a 3 x 1.5 mm2 cable.
Please note that the wires need to connect the pumps with the electrical switchboard directly, without any controllers or switches on the way. Moreover, every fan coil needs a separate connection.

Do not use any radio controllers to connect the fan coil system with DEIMIC.

LED LIGHTING


DEIMIC ONE can control both the brightness and the colour of LED strip lights, and the brightness of 12 V or 24 V LED bulbs.

A 4 x 1.5 mm2 cable should connect the beginning of a LED strip or bulb with the switchboard. That cable connection allows the system to control both single colour and RBG strips.

For a RGBW (RGB and white) strip, a 5 x 1.5 mm2 cable connection with the switchboard is necessary.

To control LED brightness or colour, a 12 V or 24 V power supply needs to be installed in the switchboard. Remember not to place it between the switchboard and the lights.

LIGHTING

Each light circuit should be connected directly to the switchboard with a 3 x 1.5 mm2 cable. With more than one light source in a circuit, the cable should be connected to one of the light sources and bridged with the rest.

If there are two circuits in a given area, you can use a 4 x 1.5 mm2 and split it between the circuits.
Please remember that the cable needs to connect the lighting circuit and the switchboard directly, with no controllers or switches on the way.

SWITCHES


Each switch needs to be linked directly to the electrical switchboard with a UTP 5e cable. One cable can connect up to 6 switches.
 
A switch containing a thermal sensor should be connected to the switchboard with an extra UTP 5e wire.
For clarity, each switch (with the exception of composite switches) should be connected with a separate UTP 5e wire. The switches should not be connected to one another.

A switch should only be connected by a UTP 5e cable, not a 230 V cable.

REMOTE CONTROLLED SOCKETS

 
Sockets to be controlled by DEIMIC need to be connected to the switchboard with a 3 x 2.5 mm2 cable.

If in a given room, some sockets are to be permanently powered, it is recommended to connect 4 x 2.5 mm2 cable to a socket, and then to the remaining remote controlled sockets.

One wire should be connected directly to the 230 V, and another to the system, which allows you to decide on installation whether the sockets will be permanently powered or remote controlled.

CENTRAL HEATING DISTRIBUTOR

 
Each central heating distributor should be directly connected with the electrical switchboard with two 4 x 1.5 mm2 cables or three 3 x 1.5 mm2 cables, which ensures control of 7 heating zones.

For a larger number of heating zones, an additional 3 x 1.5 mm2 cable for every 3 zones or a 4 x 1.5 mm2 cable for every 4 heating zones is necessary.

All control heads for the same room should be linked with each other.

HOT WATER PUMP

 
Each hot water pump should be connected directly to the switchboard with a 3 x 1.5 mm2 cable. This will allow the pump to be turned on by motion sensors in the bathrooms.

ALARM SYSTEM

The alarm system should be connected directly to the switchboard with a 5e UTP cable.

OUTDOOR SWITCHBOARD

 
The outdoor switchboard should be connected directly to the switchboard with a 5 x 4 mm2 cable and 5 UTP 5e cables.

Installing additional relays will allow you to control up to 18 outdoor lighting circuits and 10 irrigation zones.
